  1. LICENSE AGREEMENT
  2. -----------------
  3. THIS IS AN EVALUATION COPY OF THE SOFTWARE. YOU MAY
  4. USE THE SOFTWARE FOR ONLY THIRTY DAYS. 
  5.  
  6. After thirty days, you must either buy the software 
  7. from Network Associates, Inc. or remove it from your 
  8. computer and stop using it. If you are evaluating 
  9. the software for corporate use and need longer than 
  10. thirty days, please contact Network Associates to
  11. arrange an extended evaluation.
  12.  
  13. THERE ARE NO WARRANTY RIGHTS GRANTED TO YOU REGARDING
  14. THE SOFTWARE.
  15.  
  16. YOUR RIGHT TO USE THIS SOFTWARE IS LIMITED. If you
  17. have already downloaded evaluation copies of this
  18. or prior versions of the software, you are not allowed
  19. to use this software, and you must immediately cease
  20. use of this copy and destroy it. To obtain full-use
  21. rights, you must register with Network Associates, Inc.
  22. and pay for the product.

  25. NOTICE TO USERS: CAREFULLY READ THE FOLLOWING LEGAL 
  26. AGREEMENT. USE OF THE SOFTWARE PROVIDED WITH THIS 
  27. AGREEMENT (THE "SOFTWARE") CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE
  28. OF THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS OF
  29. THIS AGREEMENT, PROMPTLY REMOVE THE SOFTWARE TOGETHER
  30. WITH ALL COPIES FROM YOUR COMPUTER. USER'S USE OF THIS
  31. SOFTWARE IS CONDITIONED UPON COMPLIANCE BY USER WITH
  32. THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT. THE SOFTWARE MAY BE
  33. EVALUATED FOR THIRTY (30) DAYS ON A ROYALTY-FREE BASIS.
  34. CONTINUED USE AFTER EVALUATION IS CONDITIONED UPON
  35. PAYMENT. 
  36.  
  37. 1.  LICENSE GRANT. Network Associates, Inc. and its 
  38.     suppliers grant to you a non-exclusive, 
  39.     non-transferable right to use the SOFTWARE for
  40.     thirty (30) days for the purpose of your evaluation
  41.     of the SOFTWARE. This license to use the SOFTWARE is
  42.     conditioned upon your compliance with the terms of
  43.     this license agreement. You agree you will only copy
  44.     the SOFTWARE into any machine-readable or printed form
  45.     as necessary to use it in accordance with this license
  46.     or for backup purposes in support of your use of the
  47.     SOFTWARE. You may:
  48.  
  49.       (i)  UPLOAD THIS SOFTWARE TO ANY ELECTRONIC BULLETIN
  50.            BOARD OR
  51.       (ii) DEMONSTRATE THE SOFTWARE AND ITS CAPABILITIES.  
  52.  
  53.     THE FOREGOING DOES NOT APPLY TO ANY SOFTWARE BUNDLED
  54.     WITH A NETWORK ASSOCIATES PRODUCT BUT NOT MANUFACTURED
  55.     BY NETWORK ASSOCIATES. YOU MAY NOT REPRODUCE OR
  56.     DISTRIBUTE THE SOFTWARE FOR RESALE OR OTHER COMMERCIAL
  57.     PURPOSES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE BUNDLING OF
  58.     THIS SOFTWARE WITH ANY PRODUCT THAT IS OFFERED FOR SALE.
  59.  
  60.     This license is effective until the thirtieth (30th)
  61.     day following the date you installed the SOFTWARE.
  62.     At that time, you must cease use of the SOFTWARE and
  63.     remove it from your computer, unless you have paid
  64.     the current registration fee. You may terminate this 
  65.     agreement at any point by destroying the SOFTWARE 
  66.     together with all copies of the SOFTWARE. Also, NETWORK
  67.     ASSOCIATES has the option to terminate if you fail to
  68.     comply with any term or condition of this agreement.
  69.     You agree upon such termination to destroy the SOFTWARE
  70.     together with all copies of the SOFTWARE.
  71.  
  72. 2.  COPYRIGHT. The SOFTWARE is protected by United States 
  73.     copyright law and international treaty provisions.
  74.     You acknowledge that no title to the intellectual
  75.     property in the SOFTWARE is transferred to you. You
  76.     further acknowledge that title and full ownership
  77.     rights to the SOFTWARE will remain the exclusive
  78.     property of NETWORK ASSOCIATES or its suppliers, and you
  79.     will not acquire any rights to the SOFTWARE except as
  80.     expressly set forth in this license. You agree that any
  81.     copies of the SOFTWARE will contain the same proprietary
  82.     notices which appear on and in the SOFTWARE.

  84. 3.  REVERSE ENGINEERING. You agree that you will not
  85.     attempt to reverse compile, modify, translate, or
  86.     disassemble the SOFTWARE in whole or in part.
  87.  
  88. 4.  WARRANTY RIGHTS. As this is an evaluation copy,
  89.     NETWORK ASSOCIATES and its suppliers make NO WARRANTIES
  90.     with respect to the SOFTWARE. The SOFTWARE is distributed
  91.     to you AS IS, WHERE IS, AND WITH ALL FAULTS. In the event
  92.     of registration, NETWORK ASSOCIATES will grant you certain
  93.     warranty rights.

  95. 5.  NO OTHER WARRANTIES. NETWORK ASSOCIATES AND ITS SUPPLIERS
  96.     DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE IS ERROR FREE. NETWORK
  97.     ASSOCIATES AND ITS SUPPLIERS DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES WITH
  98.     RESPECT TO THE SOFTWARE, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,
  99.     INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
  100.     MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND
  101.     NONINFRINGEMENT OF THIRD-PARTY RIGHTS.

  103.     SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF
  104.     IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN
  105.     IMPLIED WARRANTY MAY LAST, OR THE EXCLUSION OR
  106.     LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES,
  107.     SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY
  108.     TO YOU. THIS LICENSE GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS.
  109.     YOU ALSO MAY HAVE OTHER RIGHTS THAT VARY FROM
  110.     JURISDICTION TO JURISDICTION.
  111.  
  112. 6.  SEVERABILITY. In the event of invalidity of any
  113.     provision of this license, the parties agree that
  114.     such invalidity shall not affect the validity of
  115.     the remaining portions of this license.
  116.  
  117. 7.  NO LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT
  118.     SHALL NETWORK ASSOCIATES OR ITS SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE TO
  119.     YOU FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR
  120.     INDIRECT DAMAGES OF ANY KIND ARISING OUT OF THE DELIVERY,
  121.     PERFORMANCE, OR USE OF THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF NETWORK
  122.     ASSOCIATES HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH
  123.     DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT WILL THE LIABILITY OF NETWORK 
  124.     ASSOCIATES OR ITS SUPPLIERS FOR ANY CLAIM, WHETHER IN
  125.     CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER THEORY OF LIABILITY, EXCEED
  126.     THE LICENSE FEE PAID BY YOU, IF ANY.
  127.  
  128. 8.  GOVERNING LAW. This license will be governed by the
  129.     internal laws of the State of California. The United
  130.     Nations Convention on Contracts for the International
  131.     Sale of Goods is specifically disclaimed.
  132.  
  133. 9.  ENTIRE AGREEMENT. This is the entire agreement between
  134.     you and NETWORK ASSOCIATES, which supersedes any prior
  135.     agreement or understanding, whether written or oral,
  136.     relating to the subject matter of this license.
  137.  
  138. U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS
  139. Any distribution or license of the SOFTWARE to the U. S.
  140. Government or its agencies or instrumentalities
  141. (the "GOVERNMENT") is made only with RESTRICTED RIGHTS.
  142. Use, duplication, or disclosure by the GOVERNMENT
  143. is subject to restriction as set forth in subparagraph
  144. (c) (1) (ii) of the Rights in Technical Data and Computer
  145. Software clause at DFAR 252.227-7013, or as set forth
  146. in the particular department or agency regulations or
  147. rules that provide NETWORK ASSOCIATES protection equivalent
  148. to or greater than the above-cited clause.
